Adva Kremer

Adva Kremer was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Adva graduated from the textile design department at the Shenkar College of Engineering, Art & Design. In her youth, she was a professional sailor and participated in international races. She won a silver medal in the world championship. Being a professional athlete has given her the skills and competencies that serve her as a designer, such as communication skills and spatial vision, strategic thinking and creativity, multi-tasking, perseverance and goal orientation.
Her final project in Shenkar (in cooperation with Guy Naor, a graduate from Shenkar), was conceived in the framework of a course for excelling students, in cooperation with Yale University. Their project is based on creating a technological platform that produces woven representations of famous artworks, filtered through a data gathering algorithm that draws dynamic public interest levels in a given artwork, and translates it into a pixelated final image of the artwork.
Upon her graduation, she was elected to exhibit the project in a group exhibition curated by Shira Keret and Itai Laniado, at Beit Binyamini in Tel Aviv and in Fresh Paint 10.
Adva, who completed her first year with honors and received a scholarship from the Azrieli Fund, is an America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship recipient for 2017/18 in Fashion and Textile design.
