Alexandra Segal (Naroditsky)

Alexandra Segal (Naroditsky) was born in 1995 in Kiev, Ukraine to a family of musicians. After graduating from the Lysenko Specialized Music School in Kiev, piano class of prof. Natalie Tolpygo, Alexandra repatriated to Israel. She served as an “outstanding musician” and a Lone soldier in the IDF and obtained her Bachelor degree at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music under prof. Tomer Lev. She currently studies towards her Master degree in the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany with prof. Balazs Szokolay.
Alexandra has performed live on Ukrainian national TV and radio, as well as on Israeli Kol HaMusica radio station. She took part in international piano courses and festivals, among them “Bieszczady bez granic” International Piano Forum (Poland) and “Tel Hai International Piano Masterclasses” with great musicians such as Michel Beroff (France), Murray Perahia (USA), Andrzej Jasinski (Poland), Andre Michel Shub (USA), Valery Piasetsky (Russia) and others.
She has performed as a soloist with Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra, Kiev Chamber Orchestra, Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra and Raanana Symphonette Orchestra.
Alexandra is a prize winner of piano competitions such as: II prize at WPTA International Piano Competition (2019), I prize at “Psanter letamid” Piano Competition (2017 – Ashdod, Israel), I prize at Ariana Katz Piano Competition (2017 – Tel Aviv, Israel), I prize at Pnina Zaltzman Piano Competition for Young Pianists (2017 – Kfar Sava, Israel), Audience Prize at the Concerto competition of Tel Hai International Piano Master Classes (2016 – Sde Boker, Israel), II prize at Riga International Piano Competition (2012 – Riga, Latvia), I prize at “Crimean Spring” International Piano Competition (2010 – Yalta, Ukraine).
Alexandra is a scholarship recipient of Zefunot Culture Foundation and of America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
