Amir Maytal

Amir Maytal was born in Israel in 1989. In June 2020 he finished his studies at the Jerusalem Academy of music and dance, receiving a B.A. and Teaching Certificate. He also attended the Vertigo Dance Training Program (2010-2012). In addition, he’s been a certified Pilates instructor, since 2013.
Since 2012, Amir worked as a dancer with different choreographers such as Tzphira Stern, Efrat Nehama, Ka’et Ensemble, Theater Company Jerusalem, Lior Lev, Maayan Zohar, Jerusalem Dance Theater (Eyal Nahum and Tamara Mielnik) and Maayan Leibamn-Sharon.
In 2015, Amir presented his first solo piece, “No-thing Was The Thing”, during “Men and Dancing” at Suzanne Dellal Center. The piece was later invited as part of the 20th anniversary of “International Solo Tanz-Theater in Stuttagrt, Germany (2016).
In 2017, Amir presented his following piece, “In His Own Image”. as part of “Creations from home” with the artistic direction of Miriam Engel. Since then the piece was presented at: The artists rave of the Bible Land Museum and “Dream, Drum, Dance” at Suzzanne Dellal Center.
In 2018, Amir presented his third piece, “Endurance test”, as an original production of Machol Shalem Dance House during MASH’s International Dance week. The piece was invited to present at the 10th Xposition O festival in Singapore.
