Amit Mahalel

Amit Mahalel is an Israeli filmmaker, writer, director and editor. He studied at Sapir Academic College and lives and works in Tel Aviv. Amit had directed a feature film called “Srita”/(Scratch) that has been presented in the Cinema South Film Festival. He also directed a number of short films, some of them were presented in Festivals like NYC filmmakers Festival and Icon TLV Festival.
His most recent short film, “The Damned Movie,” tells the story of a young Israeli man who returns to Israel to find a long-buried secret of his grandfather from the Holocaust period.
Right now he is working on a new feature film and is studying in a script writing workshop with the well known Israeli filmmaker Lina Chaplin.
