Aviad Alfasi

Aviad was born in Israel and studied at the Amit high school in Ma’ale Adumim. He studied music at the municipality conservatory Maale Adumim, and performed a percussion recital for his “bagrut” matriculations. He has been playing percussion for 4 years, with his high school teacher having been Alon Bor.
When Aviad was 11 years old (2008), he started playing cello at the Maale Adumin conservatory, and four years later he started playing percussion. Today he is studying at the Academy of Music and Dance, for a B.A. degree in Alon Bor’s classroom. Last year, he won the “Excellent Musician” competition, and therefore he is completing his degree while serving in the army.
In 2014 Aviad played in a concert competition for youth orchestra in Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia; He also performed at two concerts with the IBA orchestra, conducted by Chen Zimbalista.
He participated in a two-week course with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in the summer of 2015 and in Channuakah of 2016. The course concluded with 3 concerts at the Jerusalem Theater and in the Auditorium in Tel Aviv.
Also in 2015, Aviad won a high cash award in a percussion competition at the Jerusalem Academy, and in 2016 he won the AICF scholarship.
