Avishay Srugo

Born in Tel Aviv in 1998, Avishay started his musical schooling at the age of 8 with Dafna Peled at the Ra’anana Music Center. Today he Studies with Yossi Arnheim. He has just finished his first year at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.
Avishay received scholarships of excellence from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (2013-2018), Ronen Foundation, Buchman-Heyman Foundation and Dalia Meroz Foundation. He is a prizewinner of the Buchmann-Mehta School Wind Competition (2017), the Kfar Saba Wind Competition (2016), Eran Zoldan Young Flutists Competition (2011) and four-time winner of the Raanana Spring competition (2009-2013).
A graduate of the Youth Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Thelma Yellin high school of the Arts, Avishay performed with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vag Papian, the Ra’anana Symphonette with Guy Porat and the Thelma Yellin Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Guy Feder. He participated in a master class with James Galway in the Jerusalem Music Centre.
