Bar Perets, 17 year old, commenced studying the violin at the age of nine with her teacher Delia Jacob, at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv.
At the age of thirteen, Bar transferred to studying the viola; this she had continued studying with Delia Jacob. This year, Bar started to study the viola with the teacher Dr. Lilach Levanon.
Bar studies at the Thelma Yellin High School for the Arts. She is a member of the school’s Orchestra and leads the viola section. She also takes part in courses for chamber music and symphony orchestra. She is part of the Program for Talented Players named after David Goldman in partnership with “Mishkanot Sha’ananim,” and in this framework played in a string quartet conducted by Sergei Bressler, with which she appeared at many concerts. In addition, Bar has taken part in masterclasses by Mrs. Miriam Fried and the violist Paul Biss together with the quartet.
Bar has also played in a string quartet directed by Nitai Tzuri. She has taken part in courses at “Keshet Aylon” where she had a solo performance. In the last two years, Bar has taken part in masterclasses at home in Israel and abroad as a representative of the conservatory.
