For Carmit, art is an unconscious process that emerges from an inner, sensory, and experiential place. Each creation begins with a single line that expands into a colorful, expressive stain. In their work, they combine intense staining with soft, monochromatic tones, offering viewers a glimpse into the depths of the soul.
Growing up in an Orthodox Haredi household where engaging with or consuming art was forbidden, the need to create remained vital. Today, art serves as their way of breathing and expressing emotions. In recent works, they focus on wolves and birds of prey—often perceived as frightening but, to them, symbols of community protection and mutual responsibility. Their creations also reflect personal experiences, exploring the tension between what appears threatening and the strength and sense of protection that lie within.
