Coral Canellis Olier

Coral Canellis – Olier was born in Ramat-Gan. She started playing the violin at the age of 6 with Ms. Vali Blutner. At 13, she started playing the viola with Dr. Lilach Levanon at Givatayim Conservatory and then at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. She studied this year with Prof. Guy Ben Ziony at the Hochschule für music in Leipzig and next year she will continue my studies in the school with Mr. Anton Jivaev.
During her studies, coral played and led the viola section in the Thelma Yellin Symphony orchestra, as well as in the Buchman Mehta Symphony Orchestra, and the young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, she took part in projects with the Tel Aviv Soloists ensemble and other orchestras. During her first degree studies she took part in a practicom with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra.
Coral’s experience also includes participation in various chamber music ensembles of the young musicians’ unit of the Jerusalem Music Center. Under the guidance of Felix Nemirovsky at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music, they won the honorable mention in the school’s competition. Moreover, she is a member of the chamber music ensembles at the Academy of Music in Leipzig. Over the years, she participated in several masterclasses, including classes led by Hartmut Rohde and Ron Efrat.
Coral won scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2017. She served in the IDF as a Distinguished Musician.
