Daniel Yaffe

Born in Hadera Israel in 2002, Daniel Yaffe started to play the French Horn by the age of 12. He started studying at the Hadera Conservatory and later moved to the Raanana Music Center where he plays under the supervision of Ruthi Varon. Daniel studies at the Thelma Yellin school in Givataim.
Daniel took part in the last “Horn Day” of the Israel Philharmonic with Sarah Willis. Since 2017, Daniel is a member of the Jerusalem Music Center’s program for outstanding musicians. participates in the Israeli youth philharmonic orchestra, the Raanana youth symphonic orchestra conducted by Guy Porat and the Thelma Yellin symphonic orchestra conducted by Guy Feder.
In spring 2018, Daniel won second prize in the Kfar Saba wind instruments competition in the brass 14-16 category.
In summer 2018 he got accepted to the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra which took in Switzerland from July 15 to August 5. During this Daniel has worked with leading musicians from all over the world including Ivo Gass (Principal French Horn, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Principal French Horn, Lucerne Festival Orchestra) and Robin Paillette (Principal Horn, Orchestre National d’Île de France). The summer camp included intensive daily rehearsals, chamber music playing, and three different concert programs.
Daniel is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship for 2017/2018
