Didi Gold

Didi is a classical guitarist, arranger, & composer.
Didi (née: Idit Avni) was born and educated in Israel. She took up classical guitar at the age of 11yrs old.
Didi studied classical guitar with Prof. Yosi Urshalmi and and was awarded scholarships from AICF over ten years with a break during her military service.
Didi earned a master’s in choral conducting, composition, and arranging at the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem, Israel and was graduated with B.Mus. degree in 1978.
Didi made a short career in classical guitar in Israel and then moved to England/London in the early 80’s. There, she worked with choirs and established singing clubs. She trained her singers, produced shows, and held singing workshops.
In 2018 Didi returned to her great love of the classical guitar and have been giving concerts in various venues in London since.
In April 2022 Didi recorded her arrangement of the theme from ‘Schindler’s List’ for classical guitar and Midi Orchestral arrangement that was added to the track to create a full symphonic sound.
Currently Didi is arranging the ancient Spanish dance of ‘Canarios’ by Gaspar Sanz (1674)
for classical and Rock guitar and looking forward to releasing it in the winter 2023.
Didi’s upcoming release is the arrangement of the Christmas classic Jingle Bells for guitar and orchestral midi instruments. The release date is on 4th. December 2022.
