Eilon Amir
Eilon Amir was born in Jerusalem, Israel.
Eilon won the American Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships in the years 2008 and 2010. He won the AICF Excellence scholarship in the years 2012, 2014 and 2016.
Amir graduated the Jerusalem High school for Music and Dance and has a Bachelor’s degree- B.Mus. from the Academy of Music in Jerusalem. He has studied with Mrs. Irit Even- Tov for over 10 years.
He served in the IDF as an Excellent Musician.
Prizes and competitions:
2014- 1st prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to age 32.
2013- 1st prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to age 20.
2012 3rd prize in the International “Guitar Gems” Competition, adults category, Netanya; Excellent musician course, IDF.
2011- 2nd prize in the Julian Arcas competition, youth category- Spain; 2nd prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to age 20.
2010- 1st prize in the International “Guitar Gems” Competition youth category, Netanya. 2nd prize in the “Maestro” competition. 3rd prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, youth category.
2009- 2nd prize at the International “Guitar Gems” Competition youth category, Netanya; 1st prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to age 15.
Festivals and main performances:
2016- Recital at the Jerusalem academy
2015- recital in “Guitar Week” Tel Aviv, recital in Jerusalem at the Academy for Music and Dance
2014- Recital at the music center in “Beit Hakerem” Jerusalem. Recital at the Herzelia Conservatory. Recital at the Jerusalem Academy with artist and guitar builder Amalia Ramirez.
2013- Recital at the festival for classical guitar in Zichron Yaakov. Performance and participation in the guitar festival in Kublenz, Germany.
2012 – Recital at the Rehovot conservatory. Special live concert live on “Kol Hamusica” radio, for excellent pupils. Concerto Soloist at the Jerusalem Festival of the Arts with the “Hovevei Hamusica” orchestra.
2010- Performed at the “Tslilim Baemek” (“Notes in the Valley”) Festival.
