Elisabeth Gebremedhen

Elisabeth Gebremdhen was born in Jerusalem in 2001. She studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School. She has been studying the piano with Ms. Mina Deshevsky Hassadna Conservatory in Jerusalem since the age of nine.
It all started in the library at her school where a piano was present; the librarian noticed that she loves hearing its sound and suggested that she will start studying the piano. Her love for the piano is strengthening still, every day since she first found the piano in the library. She is full with pleasure that her musical life leads her to places she never imagined she would ever be in, such as the Conservatory and my high school.
Throughout the years she performed in many concerts, both through her school and the Conservatory. Every year she is chosen among the students of the Conservatory to perform in the Outstanding Students Concerts in the Jerusalem Music Center and the Eden Tamir Musical Center in Ein-Karem.
In December 2016 she participated in the “Psanter L’Tamid” Competition in Ashdod. In the summer of 2017, she was accepted to the Young Piano music course and had participated in the 4-days course along with other outstanding musicians my age. At the end of the course, she performed in the Israeli Science and Arts Auditorium, both with a piano trio and a 4-hands ensemble. In August 2018 she participated in the “Tel-Hai” International Masterclasses Course in Sde Boker, studying in the classes of Prof. Oxana Yablonskaya and Prof. Victor Derevianko. She performed at the Opening and Final Concerts of the course in front of the whole faculty and participants.
In 2016 – 2018 she participated in monthly masterclasses with the inspiring teacher and pianist Esther Narkis. Since January 2018 she has been receiving monthly masterclasses with Prof. Oxana Yablonskaya.
Elisabeth is a recipient of the America-Israel Foundation Scholarship between the years 2018 – 2019.
