Ely Perlman
Ely Perlman was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1999. He began his guitar studies at the Israeli Conservatory of Music with Mr. Ofer Landsberg and later with Mr. Amos Hoffman, Shai Chen and with Gilad Ronen.
Ely graduated with distinction from the Jazz Department of the Thelma Yellin School of the Arts. He is currently studying in the academic program of the “New School”- New York in collaboration with the Israeli Conservatory of Music. He serves in the army as an outstanding musician.
In 2016, he won first place in the International Jazz Competition in Rostov, Russia. In 2014, he received an Award of Excellence in memory of “Ron Baron” in the Israeli Conservatory of Music Jazz Competition. Ely performed in the “Blues Alley” club in Washington DC as part of the “Big Band Jam” festival in April 2014 with an ensemble for which he served as musical director, from the Thelma Yellin High School of The Arts. In 2015, he attended the prestigious summer program at “Berklee College of Music” with Terry Lynn Carrington, receiving a full scholarship. In the summer of 2016, he participated in the “Siena Jazz Workshop” in Italy where he studied with Aaron Parks, Ben Wendell and others. Ely received a scholarship for high studies in Jazz in 2016.
