Evyatar Zidon

Evyatar Zidon was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1998. He begun studying trumpet at the age of 10 with Boris Bendikov. At the age of 12 he continued his studies with the Jerusalem symphony orchestra co-principal trumpet player Richard Berlin.
At the age of 18 after graduating from ‘Hassadna’ conservatory and the Jerusalem music and dance high school, he joined the class of the Yigal Meltzer, principal trumpet player of the Israel philharmonic orchestra.
Between 2016-2019 he served in the Israel Defense Force band and was part of the IDF band brass quintet. After finishing his military service in 2019 he began his studies for a Bachelor of Music degree at the Buchmann-Mehta Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, Israel in the class of Ram Oren, co-principal trumpet player of the Israel philharmonic orchestra.
Evyatar performed with several orchestras in Israel including Buchmann-Mehta Academy of Music symphony orchestra and the Jerusalem Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra. In 2015-2017 Evyatar performed several times with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra as a soloist and as a part of the orchestra in several programs. In 2018 he played Hummel trumpet concerto with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra as part of the Kfar Saba wind competition, where he won third prize.
Evyatar has participated in many masterclasses with world renowned trumpet players Reinhold Friedrich, Pacho Flores, Kristian Steenstrup, Marco Pierobon, Dave Kuts, Sara Willis, Sergio Castera.
Evyatar is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation since 2019.
