Evyatar Zidon
Evyatar Zidon was born in 1998 in Jerusalem, Israel. He began his trumpet studies at the age of 10 with Boris Bendikov. At the age of 12 he continued his studies with the co-principal trumpeter of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Richard Berlin.
At the age of 18, after graduating from the 'Hassadna' Conservatory and the Jerusalem Music and Dance High School, he joined the class of Yigal Meltzer, principal trumpeter of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Between 2016 and 2019, he served in the Israel Defense Forces Band and was part of the IDF Band Brass Quintet. After completing his military service in 2019, he began his studies for a Bachelor of Music degree at the Buchmann-Mehta Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, Israel, in the class of Ram Oren, co-principal trumpeter of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2021, while studying for his Bachelor's degree in Tel Aviv, Evyatar transferred to the class of Eran Reemy, second trumpeter of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2023 Evyatar started his Master of Music studies in the class of Prof. Laura Vukobratovic in Essen, Germany.
Evyatar performed as a freelancer with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Essen Philharmonic Orchestra, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Neuss Chamber Orchestra, Israeli Opera, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Galilee Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 he played the Hummel Trumpet Concerto with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra at the Kfar Saba Wind Competition, where he won third prize.
Evyatar has participated in many master classes with world-renowned trumpeters Reinhold Friedrich, Jürgen Ellensohn, Esteban Batallan, Martin Griebl, Pacho Flores, Alfonso Gonzalez, Kristian Steenstrup, Marco Pierobon, Sergio Castera.
Since 2019 Evyatar is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
