Eyal Lovett

Eyal Lovett is a jazz pianist, composer and bandleader, born in Israel. He has studied in the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NY, and in the Israeli Conservatory for music in Tel Aviv. Since 2012 he has been living and working in Berlin.
His music is a combination of the classical- piano trio style, iconically represented by the likes of Bill Evans and Brad Mehldau, Israeli folk music, and traditional Mediterranean music. To this date he has released 3 albums – “Beyond Good and Evil”/Berthold Records 2019, “Tales From a Forbidden Land”/Two Rivers Records 2016, “Let Go”/Self Released 2013. The music consists of original compositions, arrangements for standards and for Israeli songs.
Some performance highlights include the Aarhus International Jazz Festival, Jazzmeile festival, The Bern Jazz festival, XJAZZ , Tubingen Jazz Festival and more. Lovett was also chosen to participate for two consecutive years in the Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland artistic program.
Eyal was chosen to be the 2017 “Artist of the year” by Jazzy Berlin. In June 2018 his Trio won 1st place at the international competition JazzWings in Warsaw. In 2020 Eyal was accepted in the prestigious Soloist program in the Royal Academy of Music, Aalborg.
