About Eyal Margalit

Eyal was born in Haifa, Israel, and as a child studied at the renowned “Wizo high school for arts”. Later, he finished his bachelor studies in composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, studying with Prof. Vladimir Scolnic, Prof. Menachem Wiesenberg and Prof. Amnon Wolman. In September 2018 he finished a Master's program in Composition in Codarts University of Arts in The Netherlands.

Through participating in different kinds of projects Eyal gained varied experience in different styles and different musical fields. All of these elements influenced his approach towards composition and helped him develop a unique personal style. He had the privilege to work as an arranger/composer with some of the best ensembles/orchestras in Israel such as the Haifa symphony orchestra, the Be’er Sheva symphony orchestra, the Andalus Orchestra of Ashdod, the “Efroni choir”, as well as with musicians like Yoni Rechter and Shlomo Gronich.

Eyal received the AICF scholarship in 2014, and in 2016.
