Eylon Ben Yaakov
Eylon was born in 1994. He started playing the piano at the age of 5 and since 2001 studied at the Kfar Saba Conservatory under the guidance of Adela Umansky. In 2011 he began studying at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, under Arie Vardi’s guidance.
Eylon was a soloist for the Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra, the IBS and the Haifa Symphonic Orchestra. In 2011 he won 1st prize at the Pnina Salzman Young Pianist Competition and 2nd prize at the Chopin competition in Tel Aviv.
In 2012 he came in 2nd at the Voice of Music competition for young artists, and in 2013 he won 2nd place at the “Forever Piano” competition in Ashdod.
Recipient of the AICF scholarship between 2010-2015.
