Hagar Maoz

Born in Israel, Hagar started her violin studies at the age of 9.
Received her Bachelor degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and her Masters in Music in Vienna, at the “Private University Conservatory” with Prof. Thomas Christian.
Hagar is a recipient of the America-Israel foundation scholarship between 2003 and 2011, won the “Outstanding Musician” prize at the Tel-Aviv Conservatory violin competition, she is the winner of the Jerusalem Academy ‘Presidents scholarship for Excellence’, 2010.
Maoz served in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) as part of the ‘Excellent Musicians’ program. She has participated in many orchestral projects, such as the “West-Eastern Divan” and the “Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra”. She has performed as a soloists with several orchestras in Israel.
Currently Hagar is a busy violinist, playing both classical and Pop music. She plays as a substitute player in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and other main orchestras in Israel. Member of the “Revolution Orchestra”, an unusual and non classical orchestra. Member of the Polyphony Ensemble of the pianist Gil Shohat, his concerts combine Pop and Classical music together. In these concerts Mr. Shohat hosts the top artists of Israeli music. Hagar is also a current member of the string quartet of Keren Peles solo show.
Participated in a few shows of singers and bands such as Omer Adam, Infected Mushroom, HaDorbanim and many more, and recorded for different artists. Hagar plays on a french violin loaned by a private donor.
