Haran Meltzer

Haran Meltzer (1994) Has appeared as soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta playing the Saint-Saens cello concerto.
He Has appeared several times with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra.
Studied with Luba Rabin in the Kfar Saba Conservatory (2005-2010) and with Zvi Plesser in the Israeli Conservatory (2010-2012). Studied as well with Emanuele Silvestri and Felix Nemirovsky. Today Studies with Claudio Bohorquez in “Hanns Eisler” school of music in Berlin.
Received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation during the years 2007-2017.
Haran won the following prizes:
– Lions club national cello competition (2012) – First prize
– Italian international cello competition (2017) – Third prize
Participated in master classes with the following cellists: Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Jens Peter Maintz, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Ralph Kirshbaum, Paul Katz and Laurence Lesser.
Participated as a chamber musician in the following festivals: The voice of music festival in Kfar Blum, The Perlman music program in New York, The Ravinia festival in Chicago and “Musethica” festival in Sweden and Israel.
Collaborated as a soloist and a chamber musician with the following musicians: Zubin Mehta, Itzhak Perlman, Miriam Fried, Guy Braunstein, Hagai Shaham, Alon Goldstein, Amihai Grosz, Avri Levitan, Hillel Zori and Zvi Plesser.
Plays on a Vincentius Postiglione Neap 1903 cello loaned to him by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
