Ido Diga

Ido Diga was born in Israel in 2004 and started his piano musical education at the age of 6.

Ido is a graduate of Thelma Yellin National High School of the Arts.
He Started playing the bassoon at the age of 12, and Contrabassoon at 15 with Ayelet Geva, David Gru, Rotem Nir and Mauricio Paez.

Ido's studies continued with Daniel Mazaki, the Principle Bassoon of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ido was awarded as Outstanding Musician by the Israel Ministry of Education. He became a member of the Jerusalem Music Centre’s David Goldman Program for Chamber Music for young musicians, The Young Israeli Philharmonic, and participated in Master Classes with Richard Paley, Uzi Shalev, Mor Biron, Daniel Mazaki, Guilliume Santana, and Mauricio Paez.

In October 2022 Ido was appointed Associate Principal Bassoon and Contrabassoon at the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon Le'Zion, the Israeli Opera's orchestra.

Ido played under the baton of different conductors, among them: Dan Ettinger, Giuliano Carella, Daniele Callegari, Karl-Heinz Steffens, and Asher Fisch.

In August 2023 Ido was accepted to the International Summer Academy (ISA) of the MDW Vienna. There he participated in master classes with Prof. Dag Jensen, and in chamber music concerts.
