Ilya Laskin

Ilya was born in Israel in 1993. He began playing the piano at the age of 6 with his grandfather. At the age of 17 he began studying with Mark Shaviner and a year later joined his class at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the University of Tel Aviv.
Ilya performed at many recitals in Israel and abroad and his playing has earned him many prizes.
In 2013 he was a soloist at the concerto for left hand piano by Ravel under Zubin Mehta’s conduction. In 2014 he was a soloist at the Mozart piano concerto with the Israeli Symphonic Orchestra of Rishon Le-Zion.
Recipient of the AICF scholarship since 2012.
