Inbar Paz

A Tel Aviv native born in 1992, Inbar Paz started studying violin at the age of 6 and switched to upright bass when she was 15, graduating from both the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School and Stricker Israel Music Conservatory. Paz is a two-time Keren Sharett Grant Recipient in the both classical and jazz categories (2009 and 2011); she was also awarded the Excellent Musician status with the IDF, where she served as a bass guitarist for the Air Force Band, while attending the Tel Aviv University Music Academy and performing with its orchestra. Inbar was the principal bassist for both the Israeli National Theater (“HaBima”) and the Kameri Theater between 2013-2016, while maintaining a busy schedule performing at Tel Aviv jazz venues such as Beit HaAmudim, Levontin 7, Shablul Jazz Club etc. In 2016 Inbar relocated to New York and since has won the International Women in Jazz Competition with SIJ, a trio that she co-leads.
