Israel Sharkie
Born 1958. A theater director in his formal education, he is a graduate of the Kibbutzim College and the Tel Aviv University theater directing degree.
Israel is a veteran director and has produced, directed and written dozens of theatrical projects, plays, various IDF public events, and projects for the private sector, the Ministry of Education and the Israel Government Information Ministry. As well as the projects he has produced and directed, he has written a number of plays, screenplays and short movies.
At the beginning of his career, he acted in the first television series produced for the Israel Educational television and Channel One. He also produced and artistically directed two major festivals showcasing stuntmen and a variety of motor stunts.
Israel was the screenwriting partner of Menahem Golan and Harry Jacobs.
Israel studied under Reuven Adiv, Professor Tom Levi, and a number of Israel’s prominent drama teachers.
