About Itay Morchi Levi

Itay Morchi Levi, is a professional composer, drummer and performer. He was born in Tel-Aviv to a beautiful loving family that gave him the love for music. From a very young age he was drawn to the percussive arts, especially playing drums, my high-school years at Thelma-Yellin high-school are where the fire of passion was lit towards pursuing his goals. During high school he also attended the Israeli Conservatory for music.

After high-school Itay joined the IDF, where he was honored to be a part of the IDF orchestra. After finishing his service he studied at the joint program with the NEW SCHOOL and the Israeli Conservatory. Currently he is living in NYC, with an Artist visa, demonstrating extraordinary abilities in the field of arts. Since moving to New York, he has performed and recorded with many of his musical idols, as well as traveled internationally dozens of times. Some of the people he was lucky to work with are: Johnny O’neal, Roy Hargrove (‘Grammy’ winner), Ravi Coltrane, Tivon Penicott, Tuomo Uusitalo, Mulgrew Miller, Eli Degibri, Doug Weiss, Gadi Lehavi, Cyrille Aimee, Daniel Zamir, Omer Avital, Ofer Ganor, Anat Cohen, Joel Frahm, Avishai Cohen, Joel Frahm, David Berkman, Dayna Stephens, Gilad Hekselman, Lew Tabackin, Yotam Silberstein, Peter Slavov, Aaron Goldberg, Donald Harrison, and Grant Stewart, J.J wiggins.
