Jazzy Kahn
Jasmine Kahn was born in march of 2002 in Hong Kong and grew up in London until the age of six. In 2008, when she moved to Herzliya in Israel she started her contemporary and ballet training at Lilly Cohen Dance Company. In 2016, Jazzy started her training at ‘Thelma Yellin High School Of The Arts’ in Givatayim where she resumed to learn ballet technique with teachers such as Dalia Dvir, David Dvir, Miriam Kascherman, Lidia Ritemdamski, Eli Lazar and modern technique with Tamir Gintz and Ilana Shtaier (Martha Graham and Lester Horton) and is now going in to her last year of school.
Alongside learning technique she has learned well known repertories from choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Michele Merola, Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, Rmi Beer and Nadav Zelner with the guidance of Leah Yanai and David Dvir. She has performed the repertories at the Thelma Yellin dance performances. In the past year, Jazzy has attended the ‘program for outstanding students of Basheva’. She will soon start the ‘Batsheva Pilot’ after-school program.
Jazzy has received an AICF scholarship for modern dancing in the years 2018-2019
