Judith Manassen Ramon is a producer of documentary films and interactive projects and the founder of Micha’s films. Films and virtual reality projects she produced include –
‘Dolphin Boy’, 2011 (Arte, Chanel 4). The story of Morad – a teenager from who disconnects himself from humans following a violent attack that he experienced and reconnects back with the help of Dolphins. The filmed premiered at Hotdocs, and won prizes at the Jerusalem Film festival – Woodstock Film Festival, World Festival of underwater images – Antibes, Cinema For Peace – International Green Film Award.
‘One Angry Vegan’ 2017(Channel 8) The film follows the personal life of Tal, head of a movement that turned Israel into the world’s most vegan country. The film Premiered at Docaviv and was later screened in Chelsea film festival in NY, crossroads film festival and others
‘The Lost Crown’ 2018 an interactive documentary(Israeli public broadcasting television) . It tells The Aleppo Codex’s mystery story- the world’s most important and precious Bible, preserved in Aleppo for centuries until much of it mysteriously disappeared when it was smuggled to Israel. Murder, theft and conspiracy mixes with history and sanctuary. ‘Place’ 2018 Is a VR documentary journey through time to a space that no longer exists. By bringing back to life voices and sights, architecture and memories of the great synagogue in Aleppo, a unique piece of the ancient culture of Aleppo is preserved in VR, and its harsh present confronted. The piece was presented in Docaviv and Doc Leipzig.
She graduated the Tel Aviv university Film MA program and a Haifa university philosophy and psychology BA studies. She is writing her PhD thesis in Media Psychology about leadership in Social Media. Judith teaches cinema therapy in a few universities in Israel
