Keshet Zeedal was born in Kfar Saba, Israel in 1997. She began
studying oboe at age 9 with Miki Lam from the Netanya Kibbutz
Chamber Orchestra. She played in the Kfar Saba Youth
Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra as Principal Oboe. At
the age of 16, Keshet started learning with Hila Peleg, Principal
Oboe Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, and under her
guidance she was accepted to the outstanding musician’s
program of the Israeli Defense Forces. Keshet played as soloist
with the Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra and the ‘Moshavot’ Orchestra
and was granted scholarship from the America – Israel Cultural
Foundation and from Keynote program of the Israel Philharmonic
Orchestra. In 2015, Keshet started her studies for a Bachelor of
Music Degree in the Buchmann Mehta School of Music in Tel
Aviv, with the oboist Dudu Carmel, Principal Oboe of the Israel
Philharmonic Orchestra. Keshet finished her military service and
was accepted to the position of Principal Oboe of the Israel
Chamber Orchestra. Keshet also played as Second Oboe
substitute in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and in other
orchestras in Israel. She took part in the International Orchestra
Institute Attergau course of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
and attended master classes with David Walter, Ramon Ortega,
Richard Woodhams and Giorgio Mateoli. Today Keshet plays in
the Israel Chamber Orchestra, teaches oboe in the Herzliyya
Conservatory and is about to complete her bachelor’s degree
from the Buchmann Mehta School of Music.
