About Linoy Galmidi

Soprano Linoy Glamidi was born in 2001 in Israel. At the age of 9, Linoy began to sing in a choir at the Sharett School in Kiryat Ono, where she also studied piano and theoretical subjects such as harmony and solfege.

Two years later, she joined the Kolot Hazamir Choir – the representative choir of Kiryat Ono under the direction of Natalia Shpilboy, where she is still singing. The choir’s conductor was also Linoy’s vocal development teacher for the next three years.

In 2015, she joined “Musical Youth” under the direction of Michael Wolpe, where she participated in annual musical meetings of youth from all over the country. The sessions included master classes and ensembles with teachers and conductors such as Michael Wolpe, Nizar Elkhater and others.

In 2016, Linoy began to study voice development with Ms. Goni Bar-Sela at the Kiryat Ono Conservatory. A year later, she began to study at the Ben Tzvi High School in Kiryat Ono, where she will complete 10 study units in music.

Linoy participates in the program for outstanding singers at the Mishkenot Sha’ananim Music Center in Jerusalem, under the musical direction of Zvi Zemel. The program includes 20 outstanding classical singers from all over the country. The program makes annual meetings and a summer course with master classes and teachers and artists from Israel and abroad (such as the voice teacher Anat Efrati, the opera director Shirit Lee Weiss, Prof. Carola Tile from Berlin, etc.) and organizes concerts.

In the course of her work with Yael Keret, Linoy participated in the opera pro course for young singers where she worked with the voice development teacher Ms. Elinor Zohn, and also participated in the course workshops, recordings and a concluding concert.
Linoy is a recipient of the America Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship for the year 2018.
