About Matan Daskal

Born in 1988 Jerusalem, Israel. Holds a BA in composition and a BA in music education from the High Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem at the class of Professor Amnon Wolman, Esmuc Academy in Spain at the class of Christophe Havel and the Rimon school of jazz and contemporary music. A certificate Soundpainter by Walter Thompson.
Danced in the Bat-Sheva dance company, Yasmeen Godder dance group, Iris Erez dance group and more. Formed conducts and composes for Castle in Time Orchestra. Nowadays composing for dance, film, orchestral and electro acoustic ensembles.

Performed original compositions in the Israel Festival, Israel Museum, Ginbey NYC, Sirga festival Spain and numerous festivals in Israel and around the globe.

Received 3 scholarships from AICF for modern and classical dancing, is a 2nd time recipient of the Siday scholarship for musical creativity through the JICM and a recipient of an orchestral composition grant from Mifal Hapais.
