Meitar Matzner

Meitar Matzner was born in 1995, started playing the flute at the age of 11. She graduated from the Municipal Conservatory in Petah Tikva where she studied with Mr. Simon Weinrid. Meitar was the principal flute of the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra from 2010 to 2013. She served as an excellent musician at the IDF orchestra (2013-2015). At 2015, she started learning at the Bucmann-Mehta school of music in Tel-Aviv University with Mr. Yossi Arnheim. Her studies in Buchman-Mehta school of music are supported by a scholarship for the memorial of Yadin Tenenbaum.
Meitar won the second prize in “Maestro” competition and the third prize in “Winds in Kfar Saba” 2012. She has received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation during 2007-2017 and from the Mayor of Petah Tikva.
She has participated in master classes with Davide Formisano and Emmanuel Pahud.
Meitar is a freelance musician, regularly plays with Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra and with Haifa Symphony Orchestra.
