Meshy Ochana

Meshy Ochana, a grant recipient of AICF scholarship for Piano playing in 2013-2020.
Achieved a B.A. degree of Piano Performance, with honors, from Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel-Aviv university. Graduated Thelma Yellin School of Arts, Classical Music major. Served in the IDF as an “Outstanding Musician”.
Meshy began studying piano at the age of 9 in Or-Yehuda’s Conservatorium with Hanna Keydar of blessed memory. Studied composition with the composer Dr. Hanna Ajiashvili. Afterwards, studied piano with Prof. Asaf Zohar for six years, in parallel with Mrs. Hanna Shalgi for one year. Currently, Meshy studies with Dr. Michal Tal.
Meshy participated in several piano competitions, and received various notable awards, including being a finalist in Pnina Zaltzman piano competition (2017); winning the second prize in chamber music competition of Buchmann Mehta School of music (2017); winning the second prize in “Psanter Letamid” competition (2015); receiving an incentive award in other competitions.
Meshy played as a soloist with Haifa symphony orchestra (2017), conducted by Vag Papian; soloist with the Thelma Yalin Symphony Orchestra (2016), conducted by Guy Feder, and performed with the orchestra in concerts held in Israel and France; soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra ‘Hod-Hasharon’, conducted by Karin Ben-Joseph (2011).
Meshy has performed in numerous concerts and recitals throughout the country, including live concerts on the radio, “Kan-Kol Hamusica”, winners concert in “Tzavta” hall, a recital on behalf AICF scholarship foundation, etc.
Meshy participated in a short film of America-Israel cultural foundation (2016), included an interview and a playing part.
Meshy participated in the project “Israeli Composers Write for Children” of the “Israel Composers League”; “Tedarim” project of ensemble “Meitar”; “Aldwell” project of Jerusalem Music Centre and the courses “Psanter Tza’ir”,”Psanter Boger” of Jerusalem Music Center; a summer course of Israeli chamber music of David Goldman program and played in a concert of the “Israel Music Institute”, a piano festival-“24 hours of pianos” in Jerusalem; “Tel Hai international master classes for pianists” in Sde Boker; Participated in the final concert of the international project “very young composers” as a guest artist; The 7th international master course in Rdziejowice, Poland, on behalf of Fryderyk Chopin Institute; International masterclasses of “Mendelssohn Festival” in Hamburg, Germany.
Moreover, Meshy has participated in numerous master classes directed by world-renowned pianists, including Pianist Murry Perhia, Prof. Menachem Presler, Pianist Aquiles delle Vigne, Prof. Dimitri Bashkirov, Mrs. Tatiana Zelikman, Prof. Piter Frenkel, Prof Victor rosenbaum, Prof. Ilan Rugof, Pianist Andrzej Pikul, Prof. Victor Derevianko, Pianist Kevin Kenner, Pianist Akiko Ebi, Pianist Sonia Rubinsky, Pianist Boris Slutsky, Dr. Elisabeta Blumina, Pianist Alon Goldstein, Pianist Aviram Reichert, Pianist Yaron Rosenthal, and Mrs. Miriam Boskovich, and others.
