Michele Berson, 19 years old, has been learning classical guitar for over 10 years with Igor Kaplun. Graduated from the “Thelma Yellin” high school of arts. Is one of the soloists in the guitar ensemble “Magic Strings”, conducted by Igor Kaplun.
Michele has participated in numerous masterclasses with world class guitarists, such as Rovhasn Mamedkuliev, Ruben Parejo, Mircea Gogoncea, Pavel Kukhta, David Kvaratskhelia and Tal Hurwitz.
Competitions:
“Or Tsair” Competition, Israel, “Cles d’Or” competition 2017 (first place), Classical guitar competition in Jerusalem, Israel 2018 (fourth place), International guitar competition in Tbilisi, Georgia 2019 (first place), passed the Keren Sharet Audition in 2020, Cles d’Or competition 2020 (first place), the 11th international music competition, Belgrade, Serbia 2020 (second place), International Classical guitar Youth Competition “A. Matyaev”, Kirov, Russia 2020 (Special prize “Best Bach performance”), “Clés d’Or” competition 2021 (first place), International classical guitar competition, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia 2021 (Diploma), Classical guitar competition, Jerusalem, Israel 2021 (first place), International classical guitar competition, Tbilisi, Georgia 2021 (third place), International Classical guitar Youth Competition “A. Matyaev”, Kirov, Russia 2021 (third place), passed the Keren Ronen Audition in 2021, “Clés d’Or” competition 2022 (second place), “Andrés Segovia” competition, Monheim am Rhein, Germany 2022 (special prize: scholarship for the Koblenz international festival), passed the Keren Sharet Audition in 2022
Concerts:
— The Georgian composer Nino Janjgava dedicated her piece “Rotor” to Michele, which they recorded in 2021 with the Tbilisi chamber orchestra Sinfonietta, as a part of the first prize at the international guitar competition in Tbilisi that Michele won in 2019.
— Has participated in various concerts for those battling cancer, the elderly and Holocaust survivors.
— Has played at the IARS World Conference, which took place in the university of Jena, Germany, in 2022
