Mirit Piraz Breiter

Mirit was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1974. She has been living and working in Limassol, Cyprus since 2008.
She studied Art at Calisher University 1995 to 2000 by the top artists in Israel.
In recent years her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Larnaca, Cyprus.
She has experienced a creative block, which overcome during her fourth pregnancy period, when she took on herself an extremely emotional project of drawing 21 figures of the “Habonim tragedy” victims for documentary book.
Among her various works, she was influenced by this project and created a series of oil paintings of this tragedy.
Her recent work is part of her research to explore the effect of Colour and configurations on humans’ brain in order to help the viewers cope with their feelings, as she truly believes that art has the power to heal the soul and try to find the link between Art and science.
In her paintings, she frequently uses symbols and clues to reflect emotions and deals with deep psychological and philosophical questions.
