    Nimrod Ron, Israeli tuba player with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and former student of Daniel Perantoni and Shmuel Hershko.

    Winner of numerous international tuba competitions, Nimrod has performed with major orchestras among them are the Israel Philharmonic, Teatro Alla Scala, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, West-Eastern Divan, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Boulez Ensemble, and more.

    Between playing tuba recitals and instructing clinics around the world, Nimrod resides in Iceland where he plays tuba with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and teaches the tuba class at the Conservatory of music in Reykjavik and is a big supporter of Icelandic composers writing for the tuba.

    Since winning the Principal tuba audition for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2012 Nimrod moved to Iceland where he now plays with the orchestra on the year long season, and performs with the West Eastern Divan Orchestra under the Maestro Barenboim in the summer monthsץ
