Nir Rom Nagy

    Nir started playing the violin and the viola in his home town, Kiryat Tivon. He graduated from the Buchman-Mehta High School of Music and has won the Chamber Music Competition in 2012. Today he studies in Leipzig, at the Mendelssohn Music School, under the guidance of Tatiana Mazurenko.

    Nir played has played first violist in orchestras such as the Young Israeli Philharmonic, the Buchman-Mehta Symphonic, and the Mendelssohn Music School Orchestra.

    He served in the IDF as an excelled musician and played solo for the Education Core Chamber Music Orchestra; Nir has attended many masterclasses.

    Recipient of the AICF scholarship since 2007 and plays a hand crafted Zygmuntowicz¬†Viola, loaned to him from the AICF’s instruments reserve.
