Nirit Zer

Nirit Zer is the artist behind you are enough, a 30-year-long self-portrait.

The project began in 1995, in a New York City nightclub, where the first self-portrait of you are enough was taken.

She had just landed in what she felt was the most exciting city in the world —
with an open ticket, two huge bags, and one explosive heart ready to take it all on.

Since then, 30 years have passed.

Throughout this time, she has continued creating self-portraits in nearly every possible medium: photography, digital art, painting, illustration, 3D, home videos, readymades, installations, text, virtual art, and textile.

Each portrait is titled with the date it was created and serves as a self-portrait of who she was at that exact moment in time.

Together, they form you are enough — an ever-changing, constantly evolving, 30-year-long self-portrait.

The work exists both as a virtual and physical piece: each portrait is a limited edition physical artwork (1/16).

The project has received numerous awards, exhibitions, and publications, including:
Art Laguna Prize, 1st Prize Winner of Virtual Arts, Venice;
Art Laguna Prize, Business for Art Winner, Venice;
SeeMe, New York; Pixel Awards Finalist;
The Lumen Prize, Selected Artist;
Juliet Art Magazine, Italy;
Cutlog, New York;
Triennial Exhibition of Visual Arts, Rome;
Santorini Biennale of Peace;
Arte Film Festival by Arte & Cutlog, New York;
and more.
