Noot has been studying Voice from the age of 11 with her mother, the opera singer Bavat Marom, at the Israel Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv. Her unique talent led her to be accepted, out of hundreds of contestants, to the Bachelors degree program in Voice at the mdw University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she started her studies in 2024.
Noot has been playing piano since the age of 5, and her teachers have included Rita Shechtman, Keren Hanan, Eyal Bat (also theory and composition) and, from the age of 14, Ron Trachtman at the Conservatory, where she also studied theory, solfège and music history with Dr. Alexander Kornhandler. Noot sang in the Bat-Kol Choir from the age of 10, and with the choir she performed in Israel (including in the opera “Carmen” at the Israeli Opera, several times with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra – also as a soloist) and internationally – in England, Hungary and Greece. She recently sang one of the leading roles in the premiere performances of the opera "Kind of Monster", composed especially for the Bat-Kol Choir by her father, composer Ady Cohen. The opera was accompanied by the Israel Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Nitai Rach, and directed by Shirit Lee Weiss.
Noot has won numerous scholarships and awards: the America-Israel Cultural Foundation’s Creative Excellence Grant (Sharett) (with distinction) in 2024; the Conservatory's Excellence Scholarship in 2023 and a scholarship in 2020; second place in the Paul Ben-Haim 2024 competition and third place in the same competition in 2022 in the junior category (16-20), when she was only 15 years old and was the youngest participant; first place in the Basel International Online Vocal Competition 2022; the French Cultural Institute Prize; international awards in Poland, Germany, USA and more. She has participated in master classes of the Metropolitan Opera, the international master classes in Israel, took lessons with David Jones, Marina Rebecca, Kaya Boris, Siphiwe Mackenzie, Pietro Naviglio, Andrew Parrott and more. She participated twice in the Salzburger Festspiele and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Opera Camps, and performed as a soloist in "Aida", conducted by Gil Shohat alongside soloists from the Israeli Opera and the Raanana Symphony Orchestra (2023). From 2021 until her graduation from high school, this year, Noot was part of the Ministry of Education's program for gifted and outstanding students in music.
