About Ofir Peres

Ofir Peres was born in 2006, and lives in Ashdod. He studies at the “Mofet” class of ‘Mekif Tet’ High school.
Ofir has been learning piano for over 6 years. He started studying piano in the “Akadma” Conservatory in Ashdod, managed by Mrs. Yanina Kudlik.

For the past 2 years, he studied piano with by Professor Eitan Globerzon, a teacher in the Jerusalem Music Academy. Ofir also studied music theory with Adi Rozenkrantz, a teacher in the Tel Aviv Music academy.

In the month of August 2020, he was awarded the AICF Sharrett Foundation Creative Excellence Piano grant, for the years of 2020-2021.

For the past few years, Ofir participated in a number of concerts and has also played as a soloist with Ashdod’s symphony orchestra, conducted by Mr. Vag Papian along with the Akadma’s strings orchestra in Ashdod’s Performing Arts Center.

Ofir played in the school year final concert with Professor Eitan Globerzon’s students, and played as a soloist in the Musical Youth Orchestra conducted by Professor Michael Wolfa. He participated in the Pianist Puhan Wang’s Master class on behalf of the international program for young musicians of the Zefonot Culture.

Ofir also participated in the “Piano Forever” competitions and in “Scherzo” competitions where he has been awarded several prizes. In the year of 2020, he won third place in the “Piano Forever” competition and received Ashdod’s Pianist scholarship as part of the competition.
