Ofir Peres

Ofir Peres, born in 2006, is a student of Prof. Eitan Globerson (of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance).
He began his studies at the Akadma Conservatory in Ashdod. Ofir was a member of The "Outstanding Pianists Program of the Jerusalem Music Center", including Mr. Murray Perahia's program for outstanding pianists. He also participated in the David Goldman program for outstanding young musicians, where he played in chamber ensembles directed by by Prof. Menachem Wiesenberg, Mr. Ariel Halevy and Mr. Sergei Bresler.
Peres has also participated in master classes with many international artists and pedagogues including: Murray Perahia, Richard Goode, Arie Vardi, Boris Berman, Jonathan Biss, Craig Sheppard, Jerome Rose, Pavlina Dokovska, Katarzyna Popowa Zydron, Miriam Fried, Jerome Lowenthal, Ursula Oppenes, Ilana Vered, Markus Groh, Claudius Tanski and more.

Ofir was a member of the junior jury in the 17th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv (2023).

In addition, Peres participated in the Tel – Hai international Masterclasses under Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky, and played in masterclasses directed by Yoni Farhi and Massimilliano Ferrati.

Ofir won several competitions and scholarships: Since 2020 Ofir is a recipient of the America-Israel cultural foundation scholarships with the highest distinction, he is a first prize winner of the national "Piano Forever" competition, a winner of the Ronen Foundation scholarship, a 3rd prize winner of the international Mannes Summer Piano Festival Competition and a prize winner at the Pnina Salzman, he was also awarded the Outstanding Musician of the City of Ashdod award several times.

Ofir played In several international music festivals including the international music festival in Goslar
(Germany), directed by Prof. Arie Vardi, the Mannes Summer Piano festival (New York City) and the Perugia Music Festival (Italy).

He played as soloist in concerts with orchestras in Israel and abroad, at the music festival in Perugia(Italy), with the Israel Chamber Opera orchestra, The Jeunesses Musicales Orchestra conducted by Prof. Michael Wolpe, in the Jerusalem Music Center's chamber music festival, with members of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and in the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies.
