Or is a professional dancer from Givatayim, Israel, in all disciplines of dance. He began dancing in Givatayim Folk Dance Group at the age of 12. The Group Performed in Festivals domestically and internationally. After Or joined the Israeli Defense Forces mandatory service, he began to train professionally as a dancer. At that time he joined the “Thelma Yellin School for the Arts” Afternoon Ballet program and took part in their summer intensive program in 2008. Upon terminating his Army Service Or was accepted to participate in the “Alvin Ailey” Summer Intensive Program in 2009. By the end of the summer of 2009, Or was chosen out of a hundred of candidates to “The Maslool” Professional Dancers Training Program where he had the privilege to perform on stage, as well as being exposed to repertory dance works from Israeli and international renown choreographers such as: Inbal Pinto, Yasmin Goddar, Ronit Ziv, Barak Marshall, Sharon Eyal, Angelin Preljocaj, Itzik Galili and Michael Getman.
When Graduated “The Maslool” Professional Dancers Training Program, Or decided to pursue his career in New – York. Or was accepted to the “Alvin Ailey” school to further his studies in dance. Thus far, Or was privileged to dance with renown New-York based dance companies, such as: Armitage Gone! Dance, Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company, Anabella Lanzu Dance Drama. Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company and the Indie Ballet Collaborative.
Among his accomplished performance experience on stage, Or was also chosen to be a part of several Video Dance Projects such as: “D for Dimension” collaboration between 3 Israeli professional schools of dance, film and editing , “The End of Ten Years” by Christy Walsh’s stringdance+media, “Tonight” music video performed by Miss Guy and “Shadows with heat” video Dance by Orit – Ben Shitrit’s.
Or was requested to choreograph a music video “be the light” a song by “My Name is Or”. Or is also working as a Company Administrative Manager and rehearsal director for an emerging dance company – “Valleto”. Or was accepted to work as a dance instructor for “Fit4Life” NYC – dance and fitness program dedicated to increase the physical awareness among underprivileged children in public schools. As a teacher Or is also providing private classes and workshos in “Verticality” – Dance Method which he learned and was developed in Israel.
Or currently resides in New York City where he continues to grow as an artist and be inspired as a performer!
