Ori Ron

Ori was born in 1998, Israel. He started to play the cello at the age of 7 studying with Mrs. Hila Epstein at the Givatayim conservatory of music. Since 2011 Ori is studying with Prof. Hilel Zori. He is currently studying at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University.
Ori is a member of The Perlman Music Program for young talented string players and was a member of the David Goldman Program of the Jerusalem Music Center.
In May 2014 Ori performed in Heichal Hatarbut hall at the “Cello day”, in March 2015 in Eilat festival for chamber music playing the first cello in the Requiem by Popper with Prof Zori and Prof Salque, as well as other chamber music performances in TLV Museum. In January 2016 Ori played as a soloist with the Thelma Yelin orchestra in Israel and in France, and last May he performed as soloist with the ICO.
Ori won the second prize winner of the 2013 “Eran Zolden” national competition for strings players, and the third prize winner at the “Ben-Haim” competition for Israeli contemporary music, 2014. Ori is an AICF scholarship Recipient since 2011.
