Ravid HKN

Ravid HKN was born in 1987, Israel, and grew up in Gan-Yavne. Ravid is a graduate of the Textile Design department of Shenkar- College of Engineering, Design and Art, Ramat-Gan. Ravid is a textile designer and artist, he creates performance costumes using Knitting, Printing and Embroidery techniques. He creates objects inspired by the human body and face, and deforms those images by blowing up its parts. The work is very organic whether it translates to a painting or a knitted organ. Some objects are wearable and some serves as an environmental item.

Jun.2016, “Bootleg”,Tel-Aviv. A solo exhibition, “SKINS”/ A series of photographs who deals with cultural oppressed groups using textile design on a human body.
Oct.2017, “Kli Vamesser” exhibition, during Tel- Aviv 2017 illustration week.

2017, AICF grant recipient in the field of textile design.
