Roger Benichou

Roger Benichou was born in Oran, Algeria in 1941. He started playing the violin when he was 6. In 1963 he was chosen as the titular pupil of l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes Sociales et Politiques in Paris. Concurrently, he studied at the Schola Cantorum in Paris with Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya. In 1967 he studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. In 1968, he studied the guitar with Szendrey Karper and studied musicology. His work focuses on pedagogy, music and paintings.
