Ruth Bitton

Ruth has been making art for over two decades. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries across Israel. Throughout this period, she has continued to study with some of the country's finest painters. Every year, her paintings are featured in the Israel Museum’s Youth Department exhibition.

In her art, Ruth reflects her immediate, everyday surroundings. Her earlier works depicted the landscapes of the Jordan Valley, where her artistic career began. Currently, Ruth is painting scenes inspired by the roads leading to Jerusalem and the Israel Museum.

Ruth is a mother of four and grandmother of nine. She splits her time between Tel Aviv and Beit She’an. She is presently preparing a solo exhibition comprising a series of paintings depicting her experiences around the Israel Museum, the people she encountered, and the surrounding landscapes.
