Samuel Krauss, an artist based between Lisbon and São Paulo, was born in 1995 and graduated with a BFA from Shenkar College of Engineering Design and Art in 2019. Krauss' practice merges drawing and sculptural techniques, focusing on the intriguing interplay of desire and functionality in everyday objects. By reimagining the materiality and shape of everyday objects Krauss reconciles industrial manufacturing with manual craftsmanship, creating spontaneous dialogues that challenge the visual and material associations of wearable and familiar items within popular culture.
