Sarah L Singer

Sarah was born in Paris. She lived in Los Angeles, Kenya, Miami, Lake district England, Israel where she is settled now.
She opened her first painting studio age 20 in Paris. In Los Angeles at U.C.L.A she focused in printmaking and photography, after few years she left for England where she went to one of the best printmaking workshop for 2 years. In 1989 she had her first solo of her etchings in the Institute of Pataphysics ( surrealistic inspiration) in Los Angeles.
Her etchings and watercolors were exhibited in the “salon des Independants” at the Grand Palais Museum in Paris 3 years in a row.
For the last 5 years the Venetian Ghetto in Italy became her primary inspiration.
She had a solos exhibition of her work on the Jewish Ghetto of Venezia, in commemoration of the 500 years of the Ghetto, in galleries in Jerusalem, in Italy and in the fall 2017 “Venezia-500- The Ghetto” at the Knesset. She received a grant from the Jerusalem Cultural Department as special artist. She had received few grants from Targum Shlishi a Raquel and Aryeh Rubin Foundation.
