About Sarah Shemesh

Sarah Shemesh started to play the piano at the age of 5, and harp at the age of 13 with Mrs Olga moitlis from Haifa Conservatory. Sarah served at the Israeli army as a Musician of Excellency. Sarah had completed her Bachelor Diploma at the Buchman Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv University with Prof. Ruth Maayani. In addition Sarah finished her Master Diploma at the Haute Ecole de Musique, at the Conservatoire de Lausanne with the Prof. Chantal Mathieu.

Mme. Shemesh had won several of scholarships during her studies, such as the America Israel Foundation (between 2006-2011), Rotary Foundation, and JOST Fondation Switzerland.

Sarah had played in Ensemble of musicians all over the Middle East at the Concertgebow Hall in Amsterdam, Netherland. As a harp player of the Orchestra of the Buchmann Mehta School of Music, she had participates many tours around the world. Sarah had played recitals that were broadcast live at the program “Espace 2” at the radio RSR of Suisse Romande, as well as at the Israeli national radio station “Kol Hamusika” at the program “Youth in the Center”.

Sarah had participated International harp competitions, such as the 5th Godefroid International harp Competition in Belgium, The 18th International harp contest in Israel, and the 1st Harp Festival and competition in Moscow, Russia.
