Shai Nakash
Shai was born in France in 1995. He studied violin with Marina Ziskind at the Raanana Music Center and at The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University under the guidance of Irina Svetlova, Ilya Konovalov, and later under the guidance of Yair & Eyal Kless.
As soloist, Shai has performed with various orchestras in Israel, among them the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, Symphonette Raanana, and the Herzliya Chamber Orchestra, under the batons of Doron Solomon, Harvi Bordovitch, Michael Gluzman and Benjamin Yusupov.
Shai participated in Mozarteum summer-academy, Salzburg with Zakhar Bron, as well as in the Keshet Eilon International Summer Course and Seminars with Vadim Gluzman, Sergey Ostrovsky, Itshak Rachkovski and Annie Shnarch.
Shai also took part in the Iclassical Academy Project In Italy where he participated in masterclasses with Rudolf Koelman. He further participated in master classes with Hagai Shaham, Haim Taub, Grigory Kalinovsky and Miriam Fried. Additionally, Shai participated in the Violins of Hope project with Shlomo Mintz.
Awards
Winner of the FLAME Int. competition in Paris, the Aviv Competition in Raanana the “UNO” National Competition in Jerusalem and the Raanana national competition.
Shai is a recipient of the America-Israel Foundation scholarship.
Shai currently attends the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin-Germany, to perfect his art under the guidance of prof. Mihaela Martin.
