Shelly Reich (born in 1987, Jerusalem, Israel) is a Tel Aviv based artist and painter.
She received her MFA (with honors) in 2018, and her BFA in 2011, both from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem.
Reich brings into her drawing and painting depths of personality, translating into a type of simple stream of consciousness and concluding a complex human experience full of contradictions, in a single poetic moment.
During the course of her MFA studies, Reich clarified the simplicity and syntax of her pictorial language. She learned to trust the quality of her mark-making and the power of abstract expression in her work.
Noteworthy exhibitions include solo shows in Hahanut 31 Gallery and The Left Bank Tel Aviv, group shows in Bar David Museum of Arts, The Kupferman Collection Gallery, Hanina Gallery, and Hacubia Gallery.
Reich received The Bezalel Excellency Award (2018) and the international Master Art Prize (2019).
