Shir Nash was educated in the Academy of Jerusalem under well-known musicians; Egon Kerton and Stu Hacohen. He continued his musical studies at EMI in London, where he also performed. His repertoire includes performances with the Philharmonic Orchestra in London as well as personal solo guitar performances.
Shir is also an accomplished composer and producer of his own work as well as other professional singer/performers. He has composed and co-produced three VH1 “Song of the Year” award-winning albums: “Picture Me” and “Rebecca” performed by the American performer, Rebecca; and “East & West” original instrumentals. In addition, he’s composed the music for over 100 children songs for television and worldwide distribution. All of the musical arrangement, composition and production were done entirely by this fabulous writer and composer. He also instructs on many subjects, including composition, harmony, theory, vocal and guitar. Shir has written and published several musical instruction textbooks, including “Flow with the Guitar”, volumes 1 & 2 and “Guitar Theory”. In addition, he writes, arranges and produces music for both the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) in London, (ABC) in London and for Israeli television programming. He has also composed, arranged and recorded songs for the American Singer, Rebecca (www.rebeccajmusic.com) and the Israeli Singer, Shira Lev (www.shiralev.com).
His instrumental “Mystery” won the VH1 “Song of the Year” award in January
2009. And at least six other songs have won awards from VH1 “Song of the
Year”; Paramount Group in Nashville; The Unisong International Song Award and
the Peace Driven Song Award in Ireland.
